Becoming A Student Of Good Choices
Becoming a Student of Good Choices
If you’ve decided to seek God’s guidance in making better choices, where do you start?
The first place you need to start is in prayer. If you’ve been alive for very long, some patterns of poor decision-making will be hard to break. Start by praying for a true desire to make different choices. We often imagine we have the desire, but many of us don’t.
Then look to God’s textbook, the Bible, for good choices. As you read God’s will for your choices, you’ll not just start building a mental inventory on what to do, but God’s Spirit will move your heart to actually do it.
A good student always communicates with the teacher. A good student will read the assigned textbook for the class. Decide that passing God’s class is in your best interests, and you’ll be on the road to making better choices.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. —Psalm 32:8
