Imagination

Hollywood has nothing on the imagination of God.

Visit the zoo or watch a few nature documentaries. You’ll be tickled by the outrageous palette of color in birds and fish. The design and shape in the platypus and aardvark defy the efforts of the best special effects guy on the most expensive movie set.

In creation there is a serene order, a feast for the senses that bewilders as much as it inspires. It reminds us that too often our best ideas are merely pencil-drawn stick men compared to the infinite imagination of our Creator.

Creation should inspire your imagination. But your job isn’t so much to create something out of nothing or come up with that one original idea. Your job, as one of God’s creatures, is simply to reflect the imagination of the One who made you.

Do that, and the sky’s the limit on what you can imagine and do.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
