Here’s something you probably don’t know about rats: their only real interest is survival.

Rats scurry. They run from place to place in fear of predators (and probably other rats). When they’re not in fear, they only know their hunger. Their only thought is the next piece of cheese.

You will never escape the rat race unless you realize you’re not a rat.

Unlike rats and other animals, you were made in the image of a heavenly Creator, so you must see your life as more than just about surviving from day to day, running in fear, and only focusing on that next piece of cheese.

God offers you a life that certainly includes the things of earth, but He also offers you life above and beyond. But you don’t have to wait for eternity to experience this. Life at its fullest, both earthly and heavenly, can begin the moment you determine to live for more.
