Only Remember
Only Remember
Recall the times God was faithful.
There’s no way you should have missed that car when it spun out of control, but you did. Your child was so sick. The doctors prepared you for the worst. And then, one day, she was better. You were ready to give up on living when a friend turned up out of the blue, and somehow, everything changed.
Part of stopping to embrace what matters is recognizing a miracle when you see it. From the biggest miracles to the tiniest graces, God is at work on your behalf. Life itself is a miracle to be enjoyed.
But how easily we forget! That’s why jogging your memory with the times God has intervened will give you fuel to remain faithful. The Bible is a catalog of memories that can encourage you too.
Remember what He has done. Stick around to see what else He might do.
But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.
—1 Samuel 12:24
