Outside Your Inner Circle
Outside Your Inner Circle
If quality relationships matter so much, shouldn’t they infuse most areas of your life?
You can find quality relationship with your spouse, your family, your closest friends. But should these be the only areas of life that matter and the rest of your life is just an annoyance until you return to those who make you happy?
It’s important for you to also live a life that matters with those outside your inner circle—to encounter and contribute to community groups that, like your closest relationships, are in some way following the same path that you are.
There’s significance in calling yourself part of a larger community. It helps define your individual purpose, it gives you confidence knowing you’re part of something larger, and it shows you how many disparate parts can create a unified whole.
Even your inner circle isn’t big enough to contain the full scope of quality relationship. Start exploring communities that matter.
Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it
—Hebrews 13:2
