Teamwork
Teamwork
The elements of nature work well together. Ants and bees are famous for their coordinated efforts. Birds fly faster in formation. Wolves hunt best in packs. The wind helps pollinate plants and flowers.
Really, most things that matter are the product of multiple parts working together to produce a unified whole—from the working parts in any machine to the miraculous factory called the human body.
Sometimes the best way to get the job done is to work alone. But if that’s the only way you work, your productivity will be limited. Depend on the support and cooperation of others, especially those with skills you don’t have. Others with perspectives and ideas with which you may not always agree.
You too are a creation of the natural order. Consider what could be produced if you functioned as a part and not the whole.
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
—Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
