Understanding And Ownership
Understanding and Ownership
If you had been fated to suffer the wounds of your past, would that let you off the hook for who you are today? Should you continue to wallow in your pain? Or if those wounds were just about the environment you grew up in, can’t you just choose a new environment to find healing?
Who you are today is probably the product of both destiny and environment. So the key to your healing will be through understanding and ownership.
You can’t change your past, but you can seek to understand how your past wounds affect you in the here and now. With this understanding, you can then take ownership for who you are today. You can accept responsibility for your current behavior while seeking all the more to find healing for those past hurts.
Understand that you weren’t designed for pain only, but also for healing. Take ownership for your healing with the strength of that conviction.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find.”
