Workout Partners

Workout Partners

No one should move alone.

Okay, sometimes it’s just you against the treadmill. But if you’re in this for the long haul, remember that your movement shouldn’t be detached from the most important thing in life: relationship.

Find a workout partner. She’ll call you in the morning to make sure you’re up for that day’s run. He’ll spot you as you strain to raise the weight off your chest one last time, telling you that you can do it. She’ll rely on you to do the same, to hold her accountable, to spur her beyond her imagined limitations.

We need others to remind us why moving matters and that our motivation to move isn’t just about us. We need physical health so we will be around for those who matter. We need spiritual health so we will be fit for eternity.

The race means a great deal more when someone is running alongside you.

As for Titus, he is my partner and co-worker among you; as for our brothers, they are representatives of the churches and an honor to Christ. —2 Corinthians 8:23
