Grace

A gracious woman attains honor.

YOU’LL GET FURTHER WITH GRACE. One compliment a woman loves to hear is, “What a gracious lady” or “She has so much grace.” In ballet, grace means a flawless performance that is so beautiful that those in the audience hold their breath. In beauty pageants, grace might mean gliding across the floor or having a witty, articulate answer to a stumping question. But what is a woman of grace from God’s point of view?

God’s grace is the giving of unconditional love and unmerited favor. God’s grace is also the ability to see us as we can be, not as we are. God always sees his children’s potential.

What is grace? Romans 3:24 explains that we “are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (NIV). We are justified, or rendered free. We are redeemed, or ransomed.

So when we model Christlikeness in our ability to love and in our ability to yield to God so the fruit of the Spirit is seen in us, we are gracious.

Grace is especially noticed when it is in the midst of people of chaos, character flaws, and crudeness. Are you rising above the sea of sinfulness around you? Are you holding out a lifeline of God’s love by modeling love?
