A Spectacle Of Glory #295

A Spectacle of Glory #295

Read: 1 Timothy 6:17, NKJV

If you tried to describe God’s New Testament way of dealing with His sons and daughters, you might settle on the word abundance. Today’s Scripture says that God “gives us richly all things to enjoy.” It’s true. All the time. No matter what our circumstances. He is always blessing. Always giving. Jesus is the sweet, wholesome manna always falling on the camp. He is the rock in the desert, sheltering weary travelers in its great shadow and sending out streams of life. He is the bronze snake—lifted up high; offering healing, hope, wholeness; and delivering from the deadly poison of sin and self-centeredness. He is the sun always shining. He is the wellspring of grace constantly overflowing. Who has ever returned from His door unblessed? Who has ever stood up from His table unsatisfied? Scripture says, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”a

Father, I don’t have a reservoir big enough to contain all the ways You favor me, help me, and pour blessing into my life. I want to open the spillways today to let Your life flow through me and out of me so You can touch others who desperately need to taste Your goodness today.

a Psalm 103:2, NKJV.
