Reflections Of Holiness

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.

God does not regard you as holy because you are sinless but because Jesus died to take the punishment for your sins and gave you his own holiness. Only Jesus lived a sinless life, but anyone who seeks forgiveness for their sins and acknowledges Jesus as their Savior and Lord receives Christ’s own righteousness. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, God views that person as holy. What an amazing thought! When God looks at you, he sees only the reflection of Christ’s holiness. Thank him now for “this gift too wonderful for words” (2 Corinthians 9:15).
