It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.

2 Samuel 22:33

You can live life with strength and security!

You might feel you’ve got to muster up strength to impress God, to prove your worth. You might see weakness as failure, but the opposite is true. He arms you with strength when you realize you can’t do life without him. As you surrender, you put yourself in the perfect position to receive strength and security from God.

When our security is grounded on something removable, we tend to crash when the unexpected happens. Job loss plunges us into fear’s pit. A broken friendship makes us never want to risk again. An unexpected disease rattles our confidence in the future.

Overwhelming trials may have you feeling weak. Tragedy might have shattered your sense of security. But rest today in knowing that Jesus is here for you. He will gladly give you the strength and security you long for. All you have to do is ask.

Lord, help me to recognize my need for your strength and to seek the security I can find only in you. Oh, how I need you today! Amen.
