God Is God
God Is God
Breathe Deep and Know: God handle all the unknowns. There are no better hands in which to trust your future.
Sometimes I just need to remember this simple truth: God is God, and I am not.
Oh, how I love to try to try to control every detail in my life. I plan and schedule and make lists for everything. I anticipate what might happen and then rehearse how I will react. I try to orchestrate my days so there is minimum risk for stress and anxiety. But deep down, I know that any control I think I have is just an illusion. Although I use control to try to manage my anxiety, in reality the desire for control actually causes the very anxiety I am trying to avoid.
God is God. I am not. It’s okay not to worry about every little thing, to leave our cares in God’s capable hands. Our worrying doesn’t ensure that bad things won’t happen; it just robs us of joy in the present moment. Let God be God . . . and rest in His goodness today.
For you are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God.
Psalm 86:10
inhale:
YOU ARE GREAT AND DO WONDERFUL THINGS;
exhale:
YOU ALONE ARE GOD.
