The love and kindness of God is unshakable and ever faithful. God doesn’t love you because you follow Him; He loves you because He loves you. Period. He isn’t kind because you trust Him; He is kind because He is kind. Period. It’s who He is.

God’s love isn’t dependent upon the circumstances in your life. His kindness is not limited by your struggles or suffering. He is with you in your suffering—not in spite of it or because He has to be. God is right there within your suffering, coming alongside you as your Friend. Faith grows not despite the hard things; it grows because of the hard things. It’s often in the darkest moments when God’s presence is the sweetest. It’s often in the hardest times that His love is most tender.

God loves you today. You can trust Him with your whole life—the good and the hard and everything in between. Begin today remembering His faithful love and placing your life in His hands.

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
