Daily Power #200
Daily Power #200
“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” (Luke 16:10 NLT)
Over the years, since our church meets in many places, we’ve built dozens of different facilities. I distinctly remember building the first one. It was a 30,000-square-foot building that would seat about 600 people in one service. This was more than four times the size of the space we had been meeting in. I couldn’t wait to move into a gigantic building.
When the builders finally poured the foundation, I was so excited to walk the property. But when I arrived, I was crushed. It looked ridiculously tiny. Did they make a mistake? Where was the rest of the building? This couldn’t be it.
Then with each step in the building process, the facility that looked so small seemed to magically grow. Once they framed it in, it looked a bit better. Then when walls started to go up, it seemed to grow again. And when we finally put furniture into the finished space, what had seemed so small was transformed into a nice, big, incredible facility.
If you are laying a foundation toward a better life, don’t be discouraged. What seems small today can grow into something significant in the future. Stay faithful today and watch as God does more over time than you can imagine.
Power Lift
I want to be faithful in the small things, Lord, trusting you to give me more opportunities and responsibilities as I grow stronger.
