Daily Power #297

Daily Power #297

“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” (John 12:26)

If you want to have deeper relationships, stronger connections, and more effective teams, then good communication is essential. It’s important to know where you stand with each other and who is responsible for what. Without trust and the freedom to speak openly, it’s impossible to grow together.

While on earth, Jesus clearly had this kind of closeness with his Father in heaven. Christ frequently went away to pray and be alone with God. He knew that the more time he spent pursuing God, the more effectively he could minister to those around him.

The same holds true for us today. The more time we spend with God, the better we get to know him. And the better we get to know our Father, the more we grow to trust him. The deeper our trust grows, the more we become transformed into being like Jesus.

When we follow Christ’s example, we can be sure we’re pleasing our heavenly Father. He wants us to live purposefully and passionately, enjoying the abundant life Jesus came to bring us. God knows that we find our lives when we lose them in service to others. Today look for opportunities to serve those you encounter.

Power Lift

I want to follow you, Jesus, and become a leader who puts others first. And when I serve like you, I know God our Father is pleased.
