His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

MANY OF US PLACE TOO much emphasis on our work for God and not enough emphasis on preparation for the work. The Nazarene Carpenter prepared for thirty years in obscurity, to do three years of work. Today the standard is three or four years of preparation for thirty years’ work.

May God help us to understand that, before He puts His servants in a place of power, He puts them in a place of preparation. God grant that we will remain where He puts us, and not run before we are sent.

There is loneliness in being faithful to God’s will. But we must be faithful!

Prayer Thought: Lord, as You enable and empower, I will be faithful to You.
