Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

GOD DOES NOT ALWAYS CONVICT people when I think they ought to be convicted. Do I think that people can be convicted just when I like? Never! My praying cannot make someone listen to God.

But if you are professing to be saved and sanctified, and God knows you are not, He will begin to convict you. To the soul who will listen, God will—with unerring finger—point to the one hindering thing.

Do not tell me, when you have not gotten through to God, that you do not know why it is. You do! If there is one faithful power on this earth, it is the power of the Holy Spirit. He will reveal to you the hindering thing. After you obey Him, then—and only then—will God give you faith.

Prayer Thought: Break my stubborn will, blessed Holy Spirit, and have Your complete way and will in my life.
