How can leaders bless the people they lead?

A MOMENT with GOD

The master was full of praise. “Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!”

Matthew 25:21

Let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Galatians 6:9

You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 28:2

Blessings can be given and received. We don’t talk much today about blessing others, but it was a vital part of life in Bible times. Blessing someone meant praising them, praying for them, and committing them to God’s care. It also meant dedicating them to God and challenging them to be committed to him forever. God was recognized as the ultimate source of all blessings, so if you walked with the Lord, you had his blessing. To receive God’s blessing meant not only enjoying the gifts of life, joy, peace, abundance, children, home, reputation, health, freedom, work, food, and so on, but also having a deeper relationship with God. Leaders often enjoy the fruit of work well done by a group of people they lead. The leader’s role is to say thank you and to bless the people in the group or organization. Giving a blessing, or receiving one, is a divine moment. Withholding praise or well-deserved remuneration cheats people and hurts them, but giving proper praise and affirmation enlarges their hearts and deepens their commitment to their leader and their work.

MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU AND PROTECT YOU. MAY THE LORD SMILE ON YOU AND BE GRACIOUS TO YOU. MAY THE LORD SHOW YOU HIS FAVOR AND GIVE YOU HIS PEACE.
