Communication
Communication
MY QUESTION for GOD
How does God communicate with me, and how can I communicate with him?
A MOMENT with GOD
Come close to God, and God will come close to you.
James 4:8
When the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
John 14:26
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
Psalm 19:1-2
When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.
Jeremiah 15:16
Never stop praying.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Communication with others is easier today than ever before. We have telephones, walkie-talkies, fax machines, e-mail, GPS tracking systems, cell phones, the Internet—even cell phones with Internet! Why? Because communication is important. We like to keep in touch because it is vital to the quality and success of our personal and business relationships. How much more, then, should we keep in touch with God, who longs to have a close relationship with us! Do you feel you are often so busy communicating with everyone else that your communication with God becomes sporadic? How do you reestablish communication with him? Find ways to regularly communicate with him, and learn to listen as he communicates with you. Only then will you experience a breakthrough in your spiritual life.
God communicates with you through his Word, so read it daily to keep in touch with him. God communicates with you through his Son, Jesus Christ, so talk to him often during your day. God communicates with you through his Holy Spirit, so pay special attention to the way he speaks to your heart. God communicates with you through your conscience, your internal moral radar that helps you know right from wrong, so always listen to your conscience. God communicates with you through his creation, so look for God’s fingerprints in his handiwork, and you won’t be able to miss him. The more time you spend communicating with God, the closer and more successful your relationship with him will be.
DIVINE PROMISE
THE LORD IS CLOSE TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM, YES, TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM IN TRUTH. HE GRANTS THE DESIRES OF THOSE WHO FEAR HIM; HE HEARS THEIR CRIES FOR HELP AND RESCUES THEM. Psalm 145:18-19
