Doubt
Doubt
MY QUESTION for GOD
When I’m struggling with doubt in my Christian life, does it mean I have less faith?
A MOMENT with GOD
He has given us great and precious promises. . . . Make every effort to respond to God’s promises.
2 Peter 1:4-5
Abram replied, “O Sovereign Lord, how can I be sure that I will actually possess it?”
Genesis 15:8
John the Baptist . . . sent his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting?”
Matthew 11:2-3
Many people in the Bible whom we consider to be pillars of the faith had moments of doubt. This doesn’t mean that they had less faith but that their faith was being challenged in new ways. When you have moments of doubt, you are probably in new territory. Allow your doubt to move you closer to God, not farther away from him. Then you will find the strength to trust him, and your faith will grow stronger.
DIVINE PROMISE
Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” John 20:29
