My Question for God
What is the importance of expressing my appreciation to others?
A Moment with God
Greet Apelles, a good man whom Christ approves. And give my greetings to the believers from the household of Aristobulus. Greet Herodion, my fellow Jew. Greet the Lord’s people from the household of Narcissus. Give my greetings to Tryphena and Tryphosa, the Lord’s workers, and to dear Persis, who has worked so hard for the Lord. Greet Rufus, whom the Lord picked out to be his very own; and also his dear mother, who has been a mother to me.
Romans 16:10-13
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy.
Philippians 1:3-4
You can probably still remember the worst thing someone ever said to you. It has probably stayed with you, and it may even still hurt. Can you remember the best thing someone ever said to you? All of us could stand to hear more words of appreciation and encouragement, so why not start by giving some to others? Paul understood the importance of well-timed words of appreciation. You can let others know that you appreciate them by thanking them and building them up. Notice what a difference a few words of appreciation can make! What you say to others may be the best words they’ve ever heard; it may even encourage them for a lifetime.
Divine Promise
I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly.
Ephesians 1:16
