Choices

My Question for God

How can I be certain that the choices I make are in line with God’s ways?

A Moment with God

Love the LORD your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.

Joshua 22:5

[Joshua said,] “Choose today whom you will serve. . . . As for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.”

Joshua 24:15

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

Psalm 119:11

There is safety in having many advisers.

Proverbs 11:14

Every day presents new choices. The choice that you can always make—and only you can make—is to honor God and obey his Word. This decision will always point you toward God’s ways and put you squarely in the center of his will. The best things to do to help you make good choices—and to avoid making choices that benefit you at others’ expense—are to read God’s Word, seek his guidance in prayer, and seek the advice of godly counselors. It is not complicated, but it is a challenge to put God and others ahead of everything else. Each day offers the choice to serve the Lord, but by following these guidelines and maintaining a “God first” attitude, you will usually know with certainty the quality of your decisions.

Divine Promise

[The Lord] guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
