Commitment
Commitment
My Question for God
What does it take to be truly committed to God?
A Moment with God
Fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly.
Joshua 24:14
If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. . . . But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods.
Daniel 3:17-18
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.
Matthew 4:19-20
Give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
Romans 6:13
Commitment is more than intellectual agreement; it involves giving your whole self—body, soul, emotions, and mind—to God for his use. Commitment requires a decision of the mind followed by an act of the will to follow through regardless of the difficulty or the cost. Commitment to God can be costly, but God promises great blessings for those who are faithful in their commitment to him.
Divine Promise
Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you.
Psalm 37:5
