How can I reflect Christ’s compassion in ways that touch others?

A Moment with God

Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd.

Mark 6:34

When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. “Don’t cry!” he said.

Luke 7:13

Compassion is both an emotion and an action. It is a litmus test of your commitment and desire to love others as Christ loves you. When your heart truly aches for another, you get an idea of how the needs of all humanity moved Jesus to die on the cross. If you’re not moved by the incredible needs and pain around you, you are either too self-focused or in danger of developing a heart of stone that is unresponsive to either God or others. Compassion motivates you to put your love into action to meet the needs of others, particularly those who cannot help themselves. You can pass along the compassion of Christ by your willingness to care for others around you. A compassionate heart is a mark of godliness.

Divine Promise

The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.
