Eternity

Eternity

My Question for God

What is eternal life going to be like?

A Moment with God

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.

1 Corinthians 2:9

We know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.

2 Corinthians 5:1

Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.

Revelation 21:3-4

Eternity is not merely an extension of your life here on earth, where you suffer, grieve, and hurt. God promises something new. He will restore this earth to the way he once created it—a beautiful place with no sin, sorrow, or pain. You will live in the world you long for without evil and suffering. God created humans for this earth, so the new earth will have a lot of similarities to this one, but it will be better and more amazing in every way. You will be in God’s presence and forever filled with joy. You don’t have to worry about sitting around on some cloud and strumming a harp. Eternity will have plenty of fun, fulfilling, and purposeful things to do.
