My Question for God

What does God think when he looks at me with all my faults and limitations?

A Moment with God

The angel of the LORD came and sat beneath the great tree at Ophrah, which belonged to Joash of the clan of Abiezer. Gideon son of Joash was threshing wheat at the bottom of a winepress to hide the grain from the Midianites. The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the LORD is with you!”

Judges 6:11-12

The angel of the Lord greeted Gideon by calling him a mighty hero. Was God talking to the right person? This was Gideon, the man hiding from his enemies in a winepress, the man who claimed he was “the least” of his family (see Judges 6:15). Yet God called him a mighty hero. God’s message to Gideon—and to you—is clear: You are more than what you have become. God calls out the best in you. He sees more in you than you see in yourself. You may look at your limitations; but God looks at your potential. If you want to increase your possibilities, learn to see life from God’s perspective. He doesn’t put nearly as many limitations on you as you do. He sees you for what he intended you to be, what he created you to be. How encouraging that the almighty God of the universe looks at you for what you can become in him rather than for what you are. What are you hiding from? In what areas is God calling out more from you?
