My Question for God

Why is worshiping God important?

A Moment with God

They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature.

Romans 1:19-20

You have an instinct for worship. All human beings were created to worship. To worship is to ascribe ultimate value to an object or person and then to revere, adore, pay homage to, and obey by ordering the priorities of your life around the object of your worship. The Bible teaches that God alone is worthy of your worship. Worship, more than anything else, will connect you with God.

God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.

John 4:24

God wants us to gather with other believers for regular times of worship. But worship is not confined to formal places and times. What is required is that you worship God with your whole spirit and in truth according to God’s true person and nature. You can do that anytime and anywhere. When you learn to worship at any time or place, you will find yourself experiencing God’s presence throughout your day.

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! For who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to give him advice? And who has given him so much that he needs to pay it back? For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.

Romans 11:33-36

Take time to praise God whenever you see his wisdom, power, direction, care, and love in your life. When you do, worship becomes a way of life that deepens your relationship with God and strengthens your ability to communicate with him.

Divine Promise

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care.

Psalm 95:6-7
