Obey God
Obey God
“Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well!”
Jeremiah 7:23 NLT
Today, no matter what you face, obey God and leave the consequences to Him. Perhaps there’s a decision that immediately springs to mind. Regardless of how difficult or seemingly impossible the path the Lord calls you to, do as He says.
If there’s a conflict, be a wise and humble peacemaker (2 Timothy 2:24–26). If anxieties arise, trust the Father (Isaiah 41:10). If someone wrongs you, be forgiving (Ephesians 4:32) and trust God for vindication (Isaiah 54:17). If others are hurting, be comforting (2 Corinthians 1:3–4). If a person you encounter is burdened with sin, proclaim the gospel (John 3:16).
If you need guidance, pray (Psalm 32:8). If temptations assail you, flee (1 Corinthians 10:13). And in every task you are given, “Do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men” (Colossians 3:23).
Friend, you simply cannot go wrong when you obey God. So trust Him even if it is difficult. And be assured that He will certainly bless your faithfulness.
Lord, I will obey You. Show me what to do and give me the courage and wisdom to carry out Your will, amen.
In His presence . . . submit to His wisdom.
