Rest In Him
Rest In Him
“Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.”
Isaiah 30:15 NLT
You need God. That is the frustration that’s been surfacing repeatedly in your heart—your deep, unacknowledged yearning for His presence and provision. The problem is you continue to fight Him, trying to handle the problems you encounter on your own. And when the details of life don’t go the way you expect, your faith fails.
Friend, you don’t have to be “good enough” or handle things perfectly to succeed in these trials or please God. On the contrary, the struggle you feel is that you refuse to rest in His wonderful care.
But understand, the Father loves you just the way you are and wants you to rely upon Him. You cannot do anything to make Him love you more, and no failure will make Him care for you less. His devotion to you is complete, perfect, and unconditional.
So return to Him. Agree with His wisdom and obey what He commands. Allow Him to be your unfailing strength. Because He will undoubtedly make a wonderful way for you when you rest in Him.
Lord, I need You. Please teach me how to let go and rest in Your loving care, amen.
In His presence . . . rest with confidence.
