Never Alone
Never Alone
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things
I will do; I will not forsake them.
Isaiah 42:16

Jenny was widowed when a heart attack claimed her husband’s life. Married more than forty years, they’d been inseparable. They enjoyed spending time with their kids and grandchildren, held leadership roles in their church, and practiced hospitality in their spacious home. Of the two, he’d handled their finances. Now she was alone.
Jenny’s inner strength amazed me. She grieved her husband but not without hope. When I asked how she was doing, she said, “This journey is taking me on a road I’ve never traveled. Every twist and turn is unfamiliar, but I’ll be okay because God is with me.”
Crisis often brings change. It moves us from the familiar path to one we’ve never walked. We don’t know our way, and we might feel lost at times. But we don’t make this journey alone. The Lord is our guide and will never leave our side.
Ponder
How has your situation brought change into your life?
Pray
Lord, I will walk unfamiliar paths with confidence knowing you’re right beside me.
“May you believe from deep within that God is with you, for you, and will never let you go.”
