God In The Brackets

God in the Brackets

Every spring, it happens—March Madness. The NCAA basketball tournament. A collection of extraordinary teams and games where the watchword is simply “survive and move on.” The more you think about it, this basketball tournament is a lot like life—it’s just about hanging on.

I’ll bet there are times you can’t see past the glare of problems blinding your eyes, when you don’t feel like you deserve to see the light of a brand-new day. But I do know that there is someone who cares and whom God will use to open up a hole for daylight to shine on all the turmoil you are facing.

So no matter what’s going on in your life, wait just a moment longer. Look around and you’ll see them—people who are there for you. Like a “Cinderella team” in the Final Four, it may be those you least expected. But they are sent by Someone who is always there for you.

His Promises

I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
