Magnificent Prayer #135

Magnificent Prayer #135

Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:2 KJV

When we are linked by the power of prayer, we, as it were, hold each other’s hand as we walk side by side along a slippery path; and thus by the bounteous disposition of charity, it comes about that the harder each one leans on the other, the more firmly we are riveted together in brotherly love.

GREGORY THE GREAT

Pray About It: Prayer draws us closer to God, that’s true. But it should also draw us closer to each other. Don’t be afraid to lean hard on your brother or sister in Christ. And allow them to lean hard on you. Bear one another’s burdens.

Faith, like light, should always be simple and unbending. But love, like warmth, should beam forth on every side and bend to every need of our brethren.

MARTIN LUTHER
