Magnificent Prayer #197
On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”

A godly man is a praying man. As soon as grace is poured in, prayer is poured out. Prayer is the soul’s traffic with Heaven; God comes down to us by His Spirit, and we go up to Him by prayer.

Pray About It: The trouble with many Christians is that what God pours in, they keep in. God would have us give out all His grace, all His blessing. We do this through action and through prayer. And what happens when we give to others from the grace given to us? We get even more. We become a channel of God’s presence in this world. The more grace we give out, the more God pours in.
O Lord, keep me sensitive to the grace that is round about me. May the familiar not become neglected! May I see Thy goodness in my daily bread, and may the comfort of my home take my thoughts to the mercy seat of God.
