It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.

In praying do not think of yourself as knocking at a closed door. Christ’s dying cry rent the veil in two, and opened up both to vision and entrance the holy of holies with the mercy seat.
Let us come boldly to a throne of grace. God is not a reluctant God, needing to be besieged like a walled city, which must be compelled to capitulate.

Pray About It: The gates to heaven are always open to the one who prays. There’s no need to beg or besiege. Through Christ we have open access to God. Must a child beg a parent for his needs? Never!
God is not reluctant to answer our prayers.
Our prayers must never grovel, they must soar and mount. We need a heavenly frame of mind.
