Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith.

I see churches and schemes and missionary enterprises, and holiness movements, all tagged with His Name, and how little of Himself! I wish every breath I drew, all speech I made, could make Him come and seem more real to men. Nothing is worth living for but just Himself.

Pray About It: The focus of prayer is that Christ might be made known. When the body of Christ is functioning as it should, men are drawn to the Savior. But when we fritter our days away caught up with empty movements bearing His name, we don’t meet God’s standard. There have been many such movements in recent years, but very little real depth of movement toward God Himself.
Be careful of schemes that bear the name of Christ but are devoid of His Spirit.
Surely God will have a people in this place.
