Magnificent Prayer #306
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

The Christian who is ready to risk all for God can count upon God to do all for him. It is as Christians live that they pray. It is the life that prays. It is the life that, with wholehearted devotion, gives up all for God and to God, that can claim all from God. Our God longs exceedingly to prove Himself the Faithful God and Mighty Helper of His people. He only waits for hearts wholly turned from the world to Himself, and open to receive His gifts.

Pray About It: When we’re children, we slowly learn to do the things that we must as adults. We learn to walk, talk, eat properly, assume responsibility, and all the other duties of adulthood. In our Christian life, we should grow as pray-ers, and yet never lose our childlike spirit. The responsibilities adults have in prayer are different from those when we were children and prayed at our bedsides.
Now, when we understand the realities of the spiritual life, we have taken on duties and burdens that we must discharge.
“It is the life that prays,” Murray says. And with wholehearted devotion, let’s assume the mantle of responsibility for our prayer tasks.
To be little with God is to be little for God.
