Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Prevailing prayer is often offered in the present day, when Christians have been wrought up to such a pitch of importunity and such a holy boldness that afterwards when they looked back upon it, they were frightened and amazed at themselves, to think they should have dared to exercise such importunity with God. And yet these prayers have prevailed, and obtained the blessing. And many of these persons, with whom I am acquainted, are among the holiest persons I know in the world.

Pray About It: The boldness that God honors comes from having been with God—having prayed often and prevailed. When we know our God as the One who answered prayers, God Himself reaches down and fills us with the boldness that comes only from His Holy Spirit. We pray with confidence and see results. Then we look back and wonder at our courage in coming to God with such insistence.
Expect that God will give you boldness as you pray. That’s the fruit of prevailing prayer.
He who prays without boldness cannot hope that his prayer will be granted.
