Magnificent Prayer #348

Magnificent Prayer #348

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Psalm 51:17

A hard heart cannot pray. A broken heart is made up of prayer.

JOHN MASON

Pray About It: Many prayers are drawn to prayer because of their broken hearts. Or if they begin with a hard heart, they will either stop praying or allow their hearts to be broken for God. We normally associate something “broken” as a loss, but in God’s eyes, a broken heart, or spirit, is a very good thing.

Come to Him and have your heart broken for the things of God. Possibly no one thing will give your prayers a sharper focus than that of having a broken heart before God.

It is wonderful what God can do with a broken heart, if He gets all the pieces.
