Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us concerning His ways and that we may walk in His paths.

OVER AND OVER GOD BRINGS me back to my purpose: that through me, others may learn of Him, love Him, and know Him; that people who come into my home would sense immediately His welcome and His undivided Spirit’s gentleness. I pray my home would be a repository of Him and His life in many dimensions, a place where people can enjoy and dwell in His love, see His beauty, know His approval, and experience His joy. A place where people can be inspired to live valiantly for His purposes —to live holy, excellent lives of beautiful moral character and sacrifice. I want people to come here to understand the vast truth and wisdom from His Word, to find healing, to know deep forgiveness.

I want the life of God to so fill my heart that people feel His presence when they come to my home.

God desires to pour out Himself through us to people who long for His reality. Yet, we must be filled up with God in order for our lives to be that channel. When we invest in Him, obey His will, and fill our souls with His truth, we will have godly substance others can draw from.

In my own life, I hear the sins of selfishness, guilt, anger, lust, idolatry, and lack of love call out, just as they call out to everyone through the voice of the world every day. These life-draining voices and pressures harden our hearts, creating indifference toward His priorities, which call us to bring His life into our worlds.
