Jeremiah 15:16

When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies.

Jeremiah loved God’s Word so much that he devoured it. This is how God wants us all to interact with his Word. The Bible is described as the “eternal, living word of God” (1 Peter 1:23) and is one of the key ways he communicates to us today. Therefore, it isn’t meant to be merely sampled. God wants us to devour and consume its message. His words give joy and purpose and life. As you meditate on the passages in this book, remember whose words you are reading. These verses are the very words of your Creator, spoken to you. Devour them and experience the delight they bring to your heart.
