John 14:2-3
John 14:2-3
There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
When Jesus talks about his “Father’s home,” he is referring to heaven. Not only is there plenty of room for you in heaven; Jesus has also specially prepared a place for you there. Imagine what it might feel like to arrive in paradise with your new home all ready for you—and realize it’s even better than you imagined! This isn’t a matter of housekeepers preparing your space; Jesus himself is getting everything ready, just for you. Then he will come for you, and you’ll live with him forever. Does this imagery have a positive impact on your view of heaven?
