Caregiver

Caregiver

KIND SHEPHERD, some of us find ourselves in a caregiving season. We tend to our elders, our peers, our children—and perhaps grandchildren—while trying to keep up with our own jobs and lives. Weariness is no stranger to us. At times, we feel like we’re in a tug-of-war, and we wonder if we’re being stretched to the limit!

During your three years of ministry on earth, you cared not only for the needs of those close to you, but also for crowds of strangers with a variety of issues. At the end of that time, you emptied yourself of everything but love. You cared about us enough to die for us. You sacrificed your last drops of blood for us in the ultimate caregiving moment. We can’t thank you enough, Jesus.

Please help me order my time and use my energy well as I follow your example of serving those around me. May I never hesitate to give you my heavy burdens because you desire to assist me. Help me find time to quiet my heart and be restored by your Word.
