How does God communicate with me?

God’s Response

Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. But now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. Hebrews 1:1-2

All that the Father has is mine; this is what I mean when I say that the Spirit will reveal to you whatever he receives from me. John 16:15

The heavens tell of the glory of God. The skies display his marvelous craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. Psalm 19:1-2

God speaks through his Word, so read it daily. He speaks through his Son, Jesus, so talk to him daily. He speaks through his Holy Spirit, so pause to listen as he counsels your heart and mind. He speaks through his creation, so take time to see him in it. And he speaks through other people, so be fed through the teaching, preaching, and advice of other believers. Listening to all the ways God speaks to you is the best way to discover his unchanging qualities and his purposes for your life.
