How can I keep from acting foolishly?

God’s Response

As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly. Proverbs 26:11

A person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God. Luke 12:21

Stop fooling yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you will have to become a fool so you can become wise by God’s standards. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. 1 Corinthians 3:18-19

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying life on this earth unless it is at the expense of a relationship with God, or in violation of the standards of living written in his Word. Hundreds of wise sayings are found in the Bible to keep you from doing stupid things. Neglecting the basic truths of God’s wisdom is the greatest act of foolishness.
