What are some keys to effective leadership?

God’s Response

The LORD told Abram, “Leave your country, your relatives, and your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.” . . . Abram departed as the LORD had instructed him. Genesis 12:1, 4

How can I settle all your quarrels and problems by myself? Choose some men from each tribe who have wisdom, understanding, and a good reputation, and I will appoint them as your leaders. Deuteronomy 1:12-13

Effective leaders seek God’s call for their lives, settle quarrels, deal with problems, delegate responsibilities to trustworthy subordinates, and courageously stand up to those who are doing wrong. Their mission is to keep peace among the people in their circle of influence.
