Why does God desire a relationship with me?

God’s Response

For he loves us with unfailing love; the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD! Psalm 117:2

You are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and full of unfailing love and mercy. Nehemiah 9:17

See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are! But the people who belong to this world don’t know God, so they don’t understand that we are his children. 1 John 3:1

Just as a father desires a relationship with his son, so God desires a relationship with you. He created you and is responsible for you; he loves you with a faithful and unfailing love that endures forever. Because of his love for you, you are accepted and called his child. Accept his love gratefully and love him in return.

God’s Promise

God loves you dearly, and he has called you to be his very own people. Romans 1:7
