Does God care when I feel depressed?

God’s Response

He was despised and rejected —a man of sorrows, acquainted with bitterest grief. Isaiah 53:3

He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

Jesus suffered as deeply as any human could; he was acquainted with bitter grief. Because he can relate to your pain, and because of his great love for you, God understands and cares when you are hurting. His heart breaks along with yours. He is with you in your pain, and he promises to bless you in the midst of it. Look for that extra measure of comfort from him today.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
