Highest Priority

What should be my highest priority?

God’s Response

Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this. . . . Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.” Mark 12:29-30

“Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires you to fear him, to live according to his will, to love and worship him with all your heart and soul, and to obey.” Deuteronomy 10:12-13

When God is at the center of your life, you will make your relationship with him your highest priority. You will long to spend time in prayer and in reading the Bible. Your thoughts will often turn to God. You will want to please him and obey him. The more you love God, the more your heart will long to be closer to his.

Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be. Luke 12:34
