How can I keep hoping when God never seems to act?

God’s Response

Now that we are saved, we eagerly look forward to this freedom. For if you already have something, you don’t need to hope for it. Romans 8:24

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. Hebrews 11:1

When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Psalm 94:19

Hope, by definition, is expecting something that has not yet occurred. Faith and patience keep hope alive. Have faith that God will do what he has promised, and be patient while he does it in his own time and way. You can be absolutely sure that he is already acting on your behalf because God is trustworthy.
